Recently, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Fujian Province publicly solicited opinions on energy-saving and energy-efficiency improvements in petrochemical and chemical industries

According to the "Draft for Comments", by 2025, through the implementation of energy-saving and carbon-reduction actions, key sub-sectors will achieve benchmark production capacity exceeding the corresponding proportion.

In order to achieve the goal, Fujian Province will strictly implement project source management, strictly implement the energy-saving review system for industrial fixed-asset investment projects, resolutely curb the blind development of "two highs" projects, and strictly carry out energy-saving review of industrial fixed-asset investment projects

Regarding the orderly promotion of energy-saving transformation and upgrading, we organized and carried out research on the energy efficiency of existing enterprises in key industries such as oil refining, ethylene, p-xylene, synthetic ammonia, and caustic soda, and established a list of technological transformation enterprises

Fujian Province will also strictly implement the "Industrial Structure Adjustment Catalog" and other regulations, prohibit new and expansion of restricted process equipment and products, and promote the elimination of outdated production capacity as soon as possible

The "Draft for Solicitation of Opinions" also makes provisions for the promotion of energy-saving and low-carbon technology and equipment, and the promotion of the development of coordinated industrial clusters
