News on April 28th, in order to strengthen energy supply guarantee and promote high-quality development, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council recently issued an announcement that from May 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, all coal imports with zero tax rate will be temporarily implemented.

According to the announcement, the provisional import tax rate with zero tax rate will be applied to imported coal originally subject to the most-favored-nation tax rate of 3%, 5% or 6%
