Freudenberg sets up technology innovation department in Shanghai

Recently, Freudenberg announced that the company plans to set up a new technology innovation department in Shanghai, aiming to strengthen R&D cooperation with local research institutions and innovative enterprises in China, and further strengthen its R&D capabilities in China

In the future, this department will serve as a bridge to better coordinate the communication and resource deployment between the Freudenberg Technology Innovation Department at the headquarters in Weinheim, Germany and the local innovation and R&D network, and promote the Freudenberg Group’s development in electric mobility, new energy, and sustainable development.

According to reports, as the Asian regional headquarters of the Freudenberg Group, Shanghai is also a highly influential technological innovation center, gathering many world-leading universities and institutions, and also actively exerting its leading ability to promote regional collaborative innovation

As part of its localized innovation strategy, the Freudenberg Group continues to invest in advanced manufacturing facilities and local R&D centers in the Chinese market to enhance its technological innovation capabilities

In February this year, the Freudenberg Group's expanded technology center in Wuxi was completed to develop innovative noise, vibration and harshness solutions for customers to improve driving comfort; a subsidiary of Freudenberg Specialty Chemicals Group The new technology center built by Seediq will also be put into use in Hangzhou in the second half of this year
