French grid operator RTE has issued a tender for cable storage facilities to provide storage facilities
for offshore wind farms such as Saint-Nazaire and Fecamp.
The 120-month contract involves the storage of 225 kV submarine power cables, connectors and accessories
.
According to the details of the request for proposals, the storage location must be located in
the seaport closest to the terminal.
The services detailed in the tender include unloading of the delivered equipment, including cables removed from the cable ship, storage in a safe location, control of the equipment, providing 24/7 uninterrupted service
.
In the event of damage, the winning supplier must carry out order processing and transportation, preparation and loading of cables and accessories on the repair vessel, and return
the damaged cables and accessories.
The cables stored include 3300 meters of submarine cable (for grounding the power supply) and 3600 meters of submarine cable (for landing).
The bidding deadline is 10 a.
