Finland's Fortum recently won a 110 MW solar project
in a capacity supply agreement (CSA) auction in Russia.
The projects will come on stream during 2021-2022 at a guaranteed electricity price of 15 euros/MWh (about $174.
8), with the two sides signing a 15-year agreement
.
At the same auction, Fortum-Rusnano, a wind investment fund in which Fortum owns 50 percent, won 823MW of wind power
.
The wind farm will be commissioned in the period 2019-2023, guaranteeing electricity prices of around 60-90 euros/MWh
over 15 years.
In June 2017, Fortum-Rusnano was awarded 1 GW of wind power projects for 2022, of which 50MW is currently under construction
.
Fortum will commit around €215 million to these projects, covering solar capacity and wind projects
.
Fortum aims to create a gigabit solar and wind portfolio

Of the 362 MW of installed wind and solar capacity, 70 MW projects are located in Russia, of which the Ulyanovsk wind farm has 35 MW and the Orenburg Region and Bashkortostan Solar Park have a capacity of 35 MW
