Daiichi Solar will build a photovoltaic power plant
of about 60MW in the town of Hoda-Shisui, Ishikawa Prefecture.
Construction will be led by the company's Japanese subsidiary, Dai-ichi Solar Japan (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), and is scheduled to start in 2016 and be completed in the second half of 2018
.
On August 26, the company signed an EPC (Design, Procurement, and Construction) service agreement
with JX Engineering (Yokohama City).
The name of the power station is Ishikawa Zegawa photovoltaic power plant
.
The site of a former golf course spanning Ishikawa Prefecture and Toyama Prefecture will be constructed
.
The seat of Toyama Prefecture is Takaoka City
.
The grid-connected output power is 59.
5MW, and it will become the largest million-dollar photovoltaic power plant
in Hokuriku after completion.
The annual power generation is expected to be 78.
8 million kWh (78.
8 GWh), equivalent to the annual electricity
consumption of about 17,500 ordinary households.
It is scheduled to sell electricity
to Hokuriku Electric Power.
First Solar will supply the company's CdTe (cadmium telluride) compound-based solar panels, as well as O&M (operations and maintenance)
upon completion.
The company decided to establish the first solar operation center in Tokyo in 2016 to strengthen the O&M services
provided in Japan.
JX Project Package Contractor Construction Works for this project
.
It is said that the company undertakes a single largest order for a million photovoltaic power plant project
.
In addition to installing 1,500V class photovoltaic inverters (PCS), we will actively adopt new technologies, improve efficiency, and reduce construction costs, while promoting designs
that take natural disasters into account.
Although Looop (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo) has announced the installation of 1500V class PCS, an example of its own photovoltaic power plant in Ibaraki Prefecture, it is estimated that this is the first 1500V class PCS
in Japan as a large-scale UHV grid-connected project.
First Solar is not only a large-scale solar panel manufacturer, but also has a top performance
in the world as a development and operator of millions of photovoltaic power plants.
At present, there are 8 photovoltaic power plants in operation in Hokuriku, Kanto and Tohoku regions, with a total output of about 10MW, in addition, including " Ishikawa Zegawa photovoltaic power plant" Including that, there are 6 projects in progress
