    Fiji International Telecommunications Corporation (FINTEL) has signed an agreement
    with the Government of Fiji for the operation and management of the Savusavu submarine cable.

    It is reported that the Savusavu submarine cable is a branch of the Samoa-Fiji submarine cable system Tui-Samoa, which aims to realize the Tui-Samoa system with the Vanua Levu Island
