    Facebook (Facebook) signed a 15-year power purchase agreement with EDP Renewables SA (EDPR) North America to purchase power
    from the 200-megawatt Headwaters II wind farm in Indiana.

    EDPR said the wind farm is expected to be operational
    in 2020.

    The signing of the contract is part of
    Facebook's sustainability goals to support renewable energy operations, the announcement said.

    EDPR North America (EDPR NA) completed the construction
    of the 200 MW Headwaters I wind farm in 2014.
    Through the program, EDPR paid a cumulative total of about $2.
    6 million to local governments last year.

    The company is currently working on a 200-megawatt Meadow Lake VI project in Benton County, which is expected to come on stream
    by the end of this year.
    By then, EDPR will have more than 1,000 megawatts of installed wind capacity
    in Indiana.
