Recently, ExxonMobil, the world's largest non-governmental oil and gas producer, announced that it will provide 250MW of wind energy and 250MW of solar power
for the Permian field in Texas.
According to a recent presentation at Capital Markets Day in Copenhagen, the oil giant has signed two power purchase agreements
with Danish company Orsted Energy.
Orsted said the pairing of wind and solar contracts is "a case study of where onshore renewables are headed.
