Recently, Evonik officially broke ground in Slovakia for the world's first industrial-grade biosurfactant rhamnolipid production plant, with a planned investment of hundreds of millions of euros.

The new plant in Slovenská Ľupča will further expand Evonik's biotechnology platform, which is one of the focuses of Evonik's Nutrition and Consumer Chemicals business unit
