On July 30, the European Commission issued an announcement stating that, in response to an application made by Kuraray Europe GmbH on June 19, 2019 on behalf of producers whose production of polyvinyl alcohol accounts for more than 60% of the output of similar products in the EU, the European Commission will not approve the products originating in Chi.
