Recently, EON said it wants to produce more wind energy
in Germany.
To implement this strategy, EON Climate & Renewables has now acquired Vortex Energy Group
in Kassel, Germany.
Vortex has been developing, implementing and operating onshore wind farms
in Germany since 2004.
The project pipeline includes wind farms with a total capacity of 300 MW and a number of projects
in the early stages of development.
This perfectly complements EON's projects
in the construction and operation of wind farms in Germany.
The CEO of EON said: "We see great potential
for wind energy in Germany.
Vortex's exceptional expertise and regional network are key factors
in us harnessing this potential and competing for the best locations.
”
The CEO of Vortex Energy Group said, "Vortex Energy sees the acquisition of EON Climate & Renewables as an ideal opportunity
to successfully implement its project pipeline in Germany and maintain sustainable growth.
For the employees of the Vortex Energy Group, the deal offers security and good prospects
for the future.
”
Vortex will continue to maintain its market position in Kassel and 30 employees will be transferred to EON.
。 Vortex Energy Group's operations in Poland and Belgium are not part of the
acquisition.
It is revealed that the transaction is subject to the approval of the
relevant anti-monopoly authorities.
