Enel Energy announced that it has had enough of five wind farms with a total capacity of 132 MW owned by Spanish company Elawan Energy
.
It is understood that the five wind farms are located in the Galicia and Catalan regions
.

These high-quality assets are already in operation and we look forward to further improving our performance
by incorporating them into the Group's operations and maintenance system and integrated energy sales strategy.

After the acquisition, the company's installed capacity in Spain will increase to 1,806 MW, of which 1,749 MW of wind power is installed, equivalent to nearly 8% of Spain's total installed capacity, 43 MW of small hydropower and 14 MW of other renewable energy
.
Currently, EGPE plants are capable of generating around 4 TWh of emission-free energy
per year.
Last year, EGPE received 879 MW of new renewable electricity in two tenders, equivalent to a total investment of more than 870 million euros
.
All projects are expected to start production
in 2019.
