Emergency Management Department: In the first half of this year, national chemical accidents decreased year-on-year

In the first half of this year, there were 62 chemical accidents and 81 deaths across the country, a decrease of 22.

This set of data released by the Ministry of Emergency Management on the 19th has sounded the alarm for safe production in the chemical industry

The relevant person in charge of the Emergency Management Department pointed out that these accidents exposed some outstanding issues such as weak concepts of safety development in some places and enterprises, weak awareness of the rule of law, weak safety foundation, low intrinsic safety level, and lack of safety management.
The safety production situation is still severe and complex.
