Egypt, Tunisia and the UAE have been included in the World Bank's list of
the best countries to develop renewable energy in 2018.
The World Bank report, cited by CNN's Arabic channel, lists the three Arab countries, saying they have made remarkable progress
in renewable energy development over the past seven years.
According to the World Bank, the three countries encourage public and private sector investment in renewable energy through incentives and promote renewable energy development
by developing normative legal frameworks.
At present, the UAE has become one of
the best countries for energy efficiency development.
Egypt rose 10 points to 68 points in the World Bank's Sustainable Energy Regulatory Index (RISE
) in 2018.
This makes it one of
the top 36 countries in the world.
In addition, Jordan made good progress in developing renewable energy between 2010 and 2017, scoring 63 points
.
Renewable energy is used in the heating, cooling and transportation sectors
