As a well-known player in medical silicone technology and innovation, DuPont is investing in capital and resources to enhance its strategic capabilities for its Liveo™ brand of medical silicone solutions

"We are working closely with our key customers to help them build and strengthen their dominant positions in key healthcare segments

," said Eugenio Toccalino, global business director for DuPont™ Liveo™ Healthcare.

To support customer business growth and accelerate the introduction of new products, DuPont's investment objectives include implementing production improvements to increase supply capacity at its Healthcare Industrial Materials facility (HIMS) in Hemlock, Michigan, USA

These investments are significant and will support the DuPont™ Liveo™ brand to continue addressing important challenges and opportunities in three key segments of healthcare:

Biopharmaceutical Processes – Enable safe, cost-effective production of biologics for innovative drugs and vaccines through a range of Liveo™ pharmaceutical-grade silicone tubing and molded components

Drug Solutions—Provides safe and effective drug delivery routes for novel therapeutics through unique topical, transdermal drug delivery solutions and gastrointestinal active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs)

Medical Devices – Support trends in connected devices and wearables by enabling safe, convenient and effective diagnosis, monitoring and treatment for timely care through a broader range of specialty medical adhesives and elastomers
