The original Dow Corning family of silicones is now called Fortasun™ and joins DuPont Photovoltaic Materials Solutio.
At the 2019 SNEC Solar Photovoltaic Exhibition in Shanghai recently, DuPont Photovoltaic Solutions announced the introduction of a new brand, DuPont™ Fortasun™ Photovoltaic Silicone materials, to its flagship product line of Tedlar® backsheet materials and Solamet® conductive past.
Drawing on decades of Dow Corning experience, the new line of photovoltaic silicones includes encapsulants, adhesives, potting compounds, encapsulants and conductive adhesives, all with DuPont's uncompromising performance and proven reliabili.
These products have been used in photovoltaic applications for over 30 years, and now they have a new brand name Fortasu.
Dan Barish, Global Business Manager for TCS and Photovoltaic Silicones, said,
"Fortasun™, a new line of silicone products, stands for high quality and reliability, and delivers the same reliable performance as our Tedlar® and Solamet® brands with over 30 years of outdoor provenan.
He also stated that Fortasun™ improves the durability, stability, efficiency and overall performance of PV modules and helps reduce LCOE and long-term cost of ownersh.

Barish noted that DuPont™ Fortasun™ adhesives and sealants are proven to withstand extreme weather conditions, ensuring that energy needs around the world are m.
