Recently, Royal DSM of the Netherlands announced that the company will reset the more stringent 2030 sustainable development goals, aiming to achieve 100% of the world’s electricity purchases from renewable energy, in order to further reduce the greenhouses generated in its own operation.
According to DSM, compared with the 75% renewable energy power purchase rate target set in 2019, the 100% target set this time reflects DSM's determination to achieve greater breakthrough.
At the same time, DSM will further accelerate the process of reducing greenhouse gas emission.
In addition, DSM will also transform its relative greenhouse gas emission intensity target of "reducing indirect value chain emissions per ton of product by 28% by 2030" into an absolute emission reduction targe.
