    Capital Power Corporation has announced a 15-year renewable energy power purchase agreement with Dow's subsidiary, Dow Chemical Canada ULC, for the purchase of Dow's Whitla Wind currently under construction in southeastern Alberta 2 25MW of electricity and related environmental attributes of the project

    This long-term agreement showcases cross-industry collaboration to support grid diversity and increase renewable electricity -- enabling both companies to advance their sustainability priorities, combat climate change, and achieve a low-carbon future

    The 151MW Whitla Wind 2 project currently under construction is expected to come online and produce renewable energy by the end of 2021 – the completion of the Whitla Wind facility will make it the largest wind facility in Alberta with a generating capacity of 353MW
