Sinochem News recently, Dow released its 2021 Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) Annual Report
Dow plans to build the world's first net-zero-carbon integrated ethylene cracker and derivatives production site in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada, while expanding its ethylene and polyethylene production capacity by two, the report said.
According to reports, the production process at the Fort Saskatchewan site will convert cracker waste gas into hydrogen, which is used as a clean fuel for the production process, while carbon dioxide will be collected on-site, transported and stored by an adjacent third-party carbon dioxide treatment facility.
The Dow ESG report also pointed out that Dow will accelerate investment in sustainable areas, improve the renewable characteristics of products from the design side, and introduce more circular plastics
