On September 19, Dow Chemical and Amco Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the Amco Asia-Pacific R&D Center in Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province, aiming to jointly accelerate the development and promotion of recyclable packaging, develop the application of post-consumer recycled resin (PCR) made of machinery and advanced recycling methods, and explore the use of bio-based plastics, and multi-dimensional cooperation to promote the sustainable development of
plastic flexible packaging in the Chinese market.
It is reported that the signed strategic agreement not only covers product application and market development, the two sides will also jointly explore more opportunities for collaboration with the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain to promote the popularity of recyclable packaging more broadly, and help plastic flexible packaging accelerate its move towards circular economy
from production, use, recycling and reuse.
Huang Yingxue, senior commercial director of Dow Packaging & Specialty Plastics Greater China, said that plastic flexible packaging is widely used in food, beverage, home and personal care, medicine and other industries
as a durable, lightweight and cost-effective solution.
Huang said: "Dow Chemical and Amco's cooperation is not only to achieve a win-win situation, but also to fulfill the commitment
of the two international companies to sustainable development as industry leaders.
