The Dominican Telecommunications Authority (Indotel) revealed the tender specifications
for the planned 5G auction at a virtual event held on December 28.

The regulator confirmed that the auction process will involve allocating frequencies
in the 698MHz-806MHz (700MHz) and 3300MHz to 3460MHz (3.
5GHz) bands.

According to the Indotel document, 9 segments of 2×5MHz on the 700MHz spectrum and 16 segments of 10MHz
on the 3.
5GHz spectrum will be available.

The results of the spectrum auction are expected to be announced in August this year, and all licenses are valid for 20 years
.
