Djibouti Telecom, Somaliland telecommunications company Sontel and Tyco Electronics subsidiary SubCom announced the completion of the marine survey of Djibouti's African Regional Submarine Cable System (DARE1) and the opening of an additional landing station
in Bosaso (Somalia).

The DARE1 cable system will extend 4,747 km and connect Djibouti, Bosaso (Somalia), Mogadishu (Somalia) and Mombasa (Kenya), providing a capacity
of 36Tbps.

According to the plan, the submarine cable system will be put into service
in the fourth quarter of this year.
