Recently, the Dewa Electric Power and Water Authority (DEWA) and Korea Electric Power Company (KEPCO) opened a Smart Electricity Website (SGS)
    in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai.

It is understood that the SGS project includes a 200kW photovoltaic system, a 9kW wind turbine and a 500kWh lithium-ion battery energy storage system
    .
The station also includes more than 2,000 sensors based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology, as well as smart meters distributed throughout the facility for real-time monitoring of electricity and water demand data to improve energy and water management, with the potential to eliminate non-critical loads through smart lighting, smart power outlets, and smart air conditioning systems, reducing demand
    when needed.

SGS also integrates with smart chiller systems through building management systems and 100-ton thermal energy storage systems, which store excess cooling energy for use when needed, reducing the need
    for smart chiller systems.
