Danimer Scientific is working with Chevron Phillips Chemical Company (CP Chem) to develop a new method of producing bioplastic resins

22 news conference, Danimer officials said that, if successful, the reactor design is expected to drive higher yields and lower overall costs than current designs

Stephen Croskrey, CEO of Danimer, said CP Chem's circulating slurry technology "is one of the world's best-known processes for the efficient and economical production of polyolefins
.

He added that the collaboration between Danimer and CP Chem "strengthens our strategy to accelerate the production of biodegradable polymers to better serve our customers and reduce the environmental impact of plastic waste
