The pilot test base for new chemical materials in Songmudao is jointly built by Jinpu New District, Puwan Economic Zone and the team of Professor Zhou Guangyuan from the Dalian Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences

The project is located in Songmudao Chemical Industry Development Zone, Puwan Economic Zone, with a total investment of about 450 million yuan and an area of ​​100,000 square meters.
It mainly builds pilot workshops, warehousing service facilities, intelligent management platforms, public testing centers and supporting infrastructure, etc.

The pilot base will focus on 3 categories and 9 sub-fields, including new polymer materials, new energy materials, and new materials for functional chemicals, and build new chemical materials around the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, the incubation of scientific and technological enterprises, and the cultivation of innovative talents.
The integrated development system of the industrial chain and innovation chain will optimize the industrial structure and layout of new materials in Dalian

It is estimated that by 2025, the pilot base will gather 40 enterprises, 35 innovation and entrepreneurship teams, achieve an output value of 3 billion yuan, a profit and tax of 500 million yuan, and create 1,000 jobs
