Cypress Creek Renewable Energy and NRG Energy will collaborate on a joint project
in Texas.
The project will see Cypress Creek develop and operate 25MW of PV projects for NRG to support commercial and industrial customers
.
Once completed, these PV projects will help establish a new type of fixed-price renewable energy program
for large enterprises.
As part of NRG's program, customers will benefit from local PV energy and offer flexible options to meet the needs of
businesses.
The program features variable term lengths, including access to up to 100% of customer electricity consumption from renewable sources and naming rights
for designated facilities.
As part of the PPA, Cypress Creek will own and operate PV projects and provide power
to NRG and its customers.
Matthew McGovern, CEO of Cypress Creek, said: "Cypress Creek is pleased to join forces with NRG to provide locally sourced solar products to meet the needs
of commercial and industrial users.
”
NRG's Senior Vice President, Business Solutions, added, "This partnership marks the future of widespread commercial and industrial solar products in Texas, fulfilling New York State's commitment
to customers choosing market designs.
Businesses want access to simple renewable energy, and by partnering with Cypress Creek, we will help them get closer to their sustainability goals
