The Ivorian government has received a €110 million loan to help it complete the deployment
of a 7,000-kilometer fiber optic network.

According to reports, the loan, which has a term of 20 years, is provided by the French Development Agency for the national general telecommunications service
of Côte d'Ivoire.

According to the Agence Ecofin news agency, the Ivorian fiber optic network has been deployed for 5,000 kilometers and is expected to be fully deployed
by the end of this year.

The Ivorian government says the commissioning of the new fibre-optic network will help improve the quality of telecommunications services in the country while reducing costs
