Wind services and resources specialist CPower Energy announced that it has won a preferred supplier contract for East Anglia One and is planning to participate in the commissioning of one of the
world's largest offshore wind farms.
Following a full tender process, Scottish Energy Renewables awarded contracts for the construction phase of East Anglia Phase I to a handful of companies
.
CPower Energy has over 30 years of experience in the offshore wind sector and is working on well-known wind projects such as Race Bank, Burbo Bank, BalDc2 and Wikinger, and it is ideally suited to the requirements of
Scottish Energy Renewable Energy companies.
In addition to commissioning managers and engineers, CPower Energy has been approved to provide engineers
for offshore and onshore substations, wind turbines, logistics and monitoring, and data acquisition for the project.
When fully operational in 2020, East Anglia One will be one of the world's largest offshore wind farms, providing clean energy
to nearly 600,000 UK households.
CPower Energy crews are expected to begin construction
on the project in the coming weeks.
