On July 8, Covestro held a groundbreaking ceremony in its Shanghai integrated base.

Covestro said the two new plants were built to meet the growing market demand for PUD and ELA

According to reports, the new PUD factory and a matching polyester resin production line that provides raw materials for PUD will be completed in 2024

ELA is used in industries such as offshore wind power, photovoltaics and material transportation
