Corning has officially opened a new fiber manufacturing facility in Mszczonów, Poland, to meet the growing demand
for high-speed connectivity in the EU and surrounding areas.
One of the largest fiber optic plants in the European Union, the plant is Corning's latest investment in global fiber and cable manufacturing, totaling more than $500 million since 2020
, supported by growing demand and strong customer commitment.
European network operators are investing in broadband expansion to provide high-speed connectivity
to more people in more communities.
As the inventor of low-loss optical fibers and a world leader in passive optical communications, Corning is uniquely positioned
to support these networks.
The new plant is expected to add approximately 250 jobs
.
It provides Corning with a favorable talent pipeline
through the skilled workforce and technical training provided by the Greater Warsaw Area.
Corning manufactures fiber optic cables and connectivity components
at its campus in Stryków.
Corning is also expanding its manufacturing capabilities in the U.

to meet growing bandwidth demand
in North America.
In August, the company announced it would open a cable manufacturing plant
near Phoenix, Arizona.
