A 120-megawatt wind farm
is currently under construction in the southern province of Maputo, according to Mozambique's national radio.
Project Manager Pedro Coutinho said the Namaacha wind farm is Mozambique's first wind power project and will power the grid operated by Electricity Mozambique (EDM

According to the plan, the wind farm will be up and running within three years, and during construction, more than 700 jobs

for a project of the same size in the Namaacha region.
