Abolish the name "GreenPla" and call it "degradable plastic"

The Japan Bioplastics Association (JBPA) has been operating the GreenPla logo identification and labelling system since 2000 with the aim of promoting the proper use and promotion of biodegradable plastic products

In addition, among biodegradable plastics, products that meet the Association's Biomass Plastics logo and labelling standards shall be referred to as biodegradable plastics

The transition to the new logo should go live in July 2021

(1) All products newly certified after July 2021 should use the new logo

(2) After July 2021, products to be updated will proceed to convert to the new logo

(3) The handover will be completed by March 2024
