Recently, Asahi Kasei announced that the company will commercialize the world's largest hydrogen production equipment in 2025
.

The project uses renewable electricity, and the goal is to reduce the price of produced hydrogen energy to 330 yen/kg by 2030, which is about 1/3 of the current circulating price

According to Asahi Kasei, the hydrogen production facility is located in Nange Town, Fukushima Prefecture.
The company is verifying equipment with a maximum output of 10 MW.
Based on the results of the experiment, it will accept orders from 2025 and supply it to Europe and the Middle East
.

The company has also developed a number of equipment connection technologies, and plans to expand the scale to 100 megawatts in the second half of the 2020s
