Singapore-based Cleantech Solar has announced a partnership with semiconductor manufacturer Globalfoundries (GF) for a 4.
5MWp on-site rooftop solar system
.
Under the terms of the power purchase agreement, Cleantech Solar will carry out full turnkey financing, design, installation and maintenance services
for the system.
It is expected to be fully operational in the third quarter of 2018 and will cover the roofs
of all four semiconductor manufacturing plants at GF's Woodlands plant in Singapore.
The system is expected to provide 5.
6GWh of clean energy
per year.
It is understood that GF will benefit from on-site solar generated by photovoltaic systems in a pre-agreed tariff structure over the next 25 years, enabling the company to make a significant contribution in reducing emissions without having to invest its own capital
