Clariant is introducing new high-performance additives at CHINAPLAS 2019 to help reduce the consumption of fossil resources and build a value chain that utilizes commercially viable and sustainable renewable resources to combat climate chan.

New at K 2019 : Clariant has partnered with renewable hydrocarbons producer Neste to bring a range of additives to the mark.

    New at K 2019 :

The new Exolit OP Terra range of halogen-free flame retardants produced from renewable feedstocks includes six products that offer the well-known performance and sustainability benefits of Clariant's fossil-based Exolit OP flame retardan.

The new Licocene Terra product range is a conversion of Clariant's well-known Licocene product range from renewable raw materials, including waxes for plastics processing and Performance Polymers (LPP) hot melt adhesiv.

Of the five new Licocene Terra products based on renewable feedstocks, two are specifically targeted for plastics processing applications, namely Licocene PE 4201 Terra, a high-value lubricant for polyolefins and for expanded polystyrene nucleating agent, and Licocene PP 6102 Terra, a premium external lubricant for PVC extrusion and a dispersant for pigments, and an additive for masterbatch.

In addition to the Terra product range, Clariant also launched the new Vita product range, which includes six rice bran wax-based products for the formulation of high-performance engineering plastics, bioplastic compounds and masterbatch.

In the Vita product range, the new Liccare RBW 360 TP Vita is a multifunctional additive that provides special lubricating and nucleating effects for engineering plastics, especially polyamid.

The new Ceridust 1060 Vita dispersant labeled EcoTain® is based on rice bran wax and enables excellent performance in plastic parts made of polar engineering thermoplastics such as nylon, polyester, TPU or biopolymers such as polylactic ac.
