On March 15, Clariant announced the launch of a new fully bio-based surfactant and polyethylene glycol (PEG) "Vita" to help combat climate change by facilitating the removal of fossil-based carbon from the value chain

According to reports, compared with similar fossil-based products, this product can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 85%, but its performance is comparable to fossil-based products

With individuals and businesses looking for ways to reduce their environmental footprint, demand for bio-based chemicals is set to grow strongly in the coming years, said Guistin Wan, global president of Clariant's Specialty Industries and Consumer Goods business unit
