Both of the two methanol production plants of Zhongtian Hechuang adopt Lurgi's MegaMethanol technology, each with a designed annual production capacity of 1.

ActiSorb S2 and ActiSorb S6 fine desulfurization systems keep the sulfur content at the outlet of the desulfurization unit of Zhongtian Hechuang Company below 10 ppb , preventing the life and performance of the downstream methanol synthesis catalyst from being affected by the fluctuation of the upstream sulfur content.

MegaMax 700 remained stable and high performance throughout its service life, until it was replaced by Clariant's next generation methanol synthesis catalyst MegaMax 800 in July this year .
Commercially verified, this new-generation catalyst has better activity and selectivity than the former.
