On September 22, Sinopec, COSCO SHIPPING and China Eastern Airlines jointly held a certification ceremony in Shanghai, announcing that China's first full life cycle carbon neutral oil was successfully produced and launched

The Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange issued China's first carbon neutral oil certification to the above three companies

In order to achieve carbon neutrality throughout the oil life cycle, Sinopec, COSCO Shipping and China Eastern Airlines have purchased national certified voluntary emission reductions (CCERs) to offset carbon emissions

The emission reduction projects purchased this time mainly include Jiangxi Fenglin Carbon Sequestration Afforestation Project, Gantangzi Grid-connected Photovoltaic Power Station Project in Binchuan County, Dali Prefecture, Heilongjiang Mishan Forest Farm (Liu Mao) Wind Power Plant Project, Shandong Zhongguang Nuclear Power Shagou Wind Farm No.

Lai Xiaoming, chairman of the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange, said that he is pleased to see that the three companies have fully considered the diversity, cleanliness, ecology and society of voluntary emission reduction projects in the process of purchasing CCERs to offset carbon emissions.

Ling Yiqun, deputy general manager of Sinopec, said that Sinopec is committed to green and low-carbon development and strives to be the "vanguard" of sustainable development
