Recently, China's first electric aircraft - Ruixiang RX1E electric two-seat light sports aircraft successfully completed the low-temperature flight test and also entered the mass production stage
.
It is understood that from the project approval to the completion of airworthiness verification and obtaining production license, in less than four years, Ruixiang RX1E has overcome one technical difficulty after another, created a number of "firsts" in the field of electric aircraft research and development, and provided valuable technical experience
for the realization of green aviation.
Huang Jun, a professor at Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and one of the developers, introduced that the Ruixiang RX1E electric aircraft uses lithium batteries as energy, adopts a fully composite body structure, and has zero pollution, which completely avoids the pollution problems
caused by the use of fossil fuels in traditional general aircraft.
