According to people familiar with the matter: the total investment of the project is about 15 billion US dollars

The cable is designed for about 150,000 kilometers, covering 48 countries in Africa and passing through 82 large cities

Huawei, ZTE, Fiberhome, and Xiaomi are currently participating in project planning discussions
.
It is understood that the project planning time of the "China-Africa Joint Construction of African Information Highway Project" is about 8 years, and the first batch of pilot projects will be launched in East Africa in 2017, gradually radiating to West Africa and the whole of Africa
