According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, in September 2022, China imported 25.
368 million tons of thermal coal (including lignite, bituminous coal and subbituminous coal, the same below), down 8.
7% year-on-year and up 16.
53%
month-on-month.

From January to September 2022, China imported a total of 147 million tons of thermal coal, a year-on-year decrease of 41.
8642 million tons, a decrease of 22.
17%.

In September 2022, China imported 15.
903 million tons of lignite, an increase of 25.
61% year-on-year and 14.

month-on-month.

From January to September 2022, China imported a total of 90.
724 million tons of lignite, an increase of 2.
339 million tons year-on-year, an increase of 2.
65%.
