Recently, CNNC's advanced nuclear fuel element (CF3) improved pilot component design review meeting was held in Chengdu, Sichuan, and the review expert group unanimously agreed that the component meets the design target requirements, marking a new breakthrough in the independent research and development of China's advanced nuclear power fuel elements, which will provide strong support
for China's Hualong No.
1 "going global".
It is reported that the CF3 improved nuclear power fuel assembly is CNNC's further optimization and upgrading
of the CF series fuel assembly.
The results of design analysis and verification and various off-reactor performance tests show that the component has reached the current international advanced level in terms of thermal and hydraulic properties, mechanical properties and fuel consumption indicators, which meets the needs
of third-generation nuclear power plants for the safety and advanced of fuel assemblies.
