Recently, the Chinese Engineers Consortium was formally established.
As one of the initiators of the Chinese Engineers Consortium, the China Chemical Industry Society officially joined the consortium and became the first group of governing units.
Hua Wei, the vice chairman and secretary-general of the China Chemical Industry Society, served as the consortium's director.
The Chinese Engineer Consortium was initiated by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology and was jointly initiated by 76 influential national societies, local engineer societies, universities and enterprises.
It aims to unite the engineering science and technology circles, industry circles, engineering science and technology societies and other social parties.

By building an exchange platform for the international engineering community, it will fully release the “dividends” of more than 42 million engineering scientific and technological talents, and promote the sustainable development of China and the world.
Under the leadership of the China Association for Science and Technology, the Chinese Society of Chemical Industry will carry out a series of work in accordance with the planning objectives of the Chinese Engineers Association, establish a chemical engineering ability evaluation system with Chinese characteristics and in line with international standards, and build a full-cycle service system for chemical engineering scientific and technological talents.
Establish a "Belt and Road" engineering organization alliance in the chemical industry, promote the development of engineering ethics in the chemical industry, and achieve new breakthroughs in the international mutual recognition of engineer qualifications.
