A few days ago, Radio France Internationale said that EDF and China's two nuclear industry groups may soon announce the decision to jointly build two nuclear power plants in the
UK.
EDF, however, declined to comment
on the news.
According to French media reports, EDF reached an agreement with its partners China General Nuclear Power Group and China National Nuclear Corporation to increase the future stake of Chinese companies to 33.

EDF has signed agreements with the two Chinese companies that also anticipate the possibility
of building another nuclear reactor.
The nuclear reactor, called Hualong Dynasty, will be built at
the Bradwell Nuclear Power Station, which belongs to British Power Company.
In the first phase, EDF should reportedly own a majority stake in the construction of two nuclear power plants in the UK, with the remaining shares split between the two Chinese companies

Subsequently, new collaborators may be added

EDF had expected the two plants to be completed in 2023, but investors have not made a final investment decision on the project, and the completion date will be delayed
