Celanese will expand Nanjing's acetyl business capacity

Celanese expects to increase the annual production capacity of its Nanjing plant VAM by 50,000 tons to 60,000 tons; through a phased approach, the total annual production capacity is expected to increase by 90,000 tons.

Celanese also plans to increase its anhydride production capacity by 10,000 tons per year at its Nanjing plant through capital benefits ; by 2022 , the plant's acid anhydride production capacity will be increased to approximately 130,000 tons to support the growing demand in the market.

Celanese also announced plans to build two new VAE reactor to further enhance plant in Nanjing and Frankfurt VAE capacity; to 2023 , the Nanjing factory with an annual output capacity will increase by about 6 Wan 5 tons, annual capacity of the plant will be in Frankfurt an increase of about 4 Wan 5 tons.

Celanese also announced today that it plans to expand its redispersible polymer powder production capacity through the current de-bottlenecking project at its European plant; it aims to increase its annual production capacity by approximately 20,000 tons by 2023 .
