Canadian Solar and Biosar, Australia's leading solar EPC supplier, announced a partnership to provide EPC services
for a 256 MW solar power project in Australia.
The project is located in northwest Victoria as well as north-west Victoria and has several power purchase agreements
with energy retailers such as Flow Power and Alinta Energy, as well as a 20-year PPA from Mars Australia.
Construction of the project is scheduled to begin in October 2018 and commercial operation
is expected by mid-2019.
When completed, it is expected to be the largest single solar power plant in Victoria, Australia, and will generate enough electricity to meet the needs of more than 133,500 Victorian households, reducing CO2 emissions by more than 610,000 tonnes
per year.
Canadian Solar's Chairman and CEO said: "We are delighted to have been selected by specialist IPPs such as Total Eren to provide EPC services with Biosar and further expand our reach and strengthen our competitive position
