In order to prevent rubber prices from continuing to fall, Cambodia's Ministry of Commerce recently revealed plans to establish the Cambodian Rubber Association to promote rubber prices to bottom out.
Cambodia's Minister of Commerce Sun Zhanto recently said that the Ministry of Commerce is currently discussing with relevant parties to establish the Cambodian Rubber Association to find ways to stop the continuous
decline in rubber prices.
At the same time, the association can also find partners abroad to buy Cambodian rubber to ensure the stability
of rubber exports.
In addition to looking for international markets, the Ministry of Commerce must also attract more investors to invest in the rubber processing industry in Cambodia, because at present the country only exports rubber raw materials, if foreign investors invest in the rubber processing industry, it can not only develop the country's rubber industry, but also provide more employment opportunities for the people and reduce poverty
.
He said that the establishment of the Cambodian Rubber Association is still in the discussion stage, and the time
for its establishment has not yet been determined.
The Ministry of Commerce will complete this work as soon as possible so that the price of Cambodian rubber can recover
as soon as possible.
Cambodian rubber prices have been going downhill, although rubber prices continue to decrease, but Cambodian rubber exports still maintain growth
.
Last year also maintained growth, Cambodian rubber exports maintained an annual growth
of 7%.
Cambodian rubber is mainly exported to Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam and EU countries
.
It is worth mentioning that as a traditional agricultural pillar industry, rubber production and export has always been one of the focus of the Cambodian government's close attention, Cambodia will intervene in the decline of rubber prices in the international market, strive to solve the problem of falling domestic rubber prices, and ensure that domestic rubber prices are not less than 1500 US dollars
per ton.
