Recently, BYD and its local partner, Alexander Dennis (ADL), a well-known British bus manufacturer, won the first order
for an all-electric double-decker bus in London.
The deal will see 37 BYD ADL Enviro 400EV electric buses serving transit passengers
in London in spring 2019.

London's iconic double-decker buses have become on the bucket list of many tourists as they make the most of everything
the city has to offer.

With more than 6,800 double-decker buses in service in London, the increase in electric buses from 5 to 37 represents progress in electrification, but there is still plenty of room
for the fleet of electric buses to grow in the coming years.

The new bus was designed by Scottish ADL and BYD's R&D team in Shenzhen, China, to ensure that the classic look of the London double-decker bus is perfectly combined
with BYD's zero-emission electric drivetrain.

3-meter-long YD ADL Enviro 400EV will be manufactured in China and final assembled
by ADL in the UK.
