    Canadian solar developer SkyPower and Chinese energy storage specialist BYD will submit a joint bid
    for India's 750MW solar storage tender.

    SkyPower announced the signing of the agreement today at the opening ceremony of the
    China-Canada Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference.
    BYD's award-winning eco-friendly battery storage technology, coupled with SkyPower's experience in developing utility-scale solar projects, will lead to a major solar implementation strategy
    in India.

    In March, Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) announced that bidders in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh solar tender project would be required to include energy storage components
    in the project.
    SECI expects 100MW of the 750MW auction to include some storage components
    .

    By implementing energy storage systems, the Indian government intends to transmit solar energy in several states while also reducing the intermittent problem
    of solar installations.
